Does anyone know what the practice lines and d pairings were yesterday?

Usually media posts it.

Probably get an idea of the lineup after pregame skate (10:30am), with the amount of injuries and the flu going around the team right now.

THE CANUCKS HAVE DONE IT!!!! THEY ARE IN A PLAYFF SPOT!!!!!!!

For now.

It seems there is a lot of effort or "noise" around the team to offer up a less than inspiring start of the season.

Edmonton should win this one, injuries, attitudes, man power shortage, illness and the elephants in the room.

Systems and structure, some sort of magic by Tocchet? Just to get this right Bruce's head coaching NHL record - 2007 - 2021, 1086 gms - 617 W. Tocchet as NHL head coach, 474 gms - 198 W.

Structure, ALL coaches have a structure. Systems, again they all do. It comes down to the GM's and the players they get to play.

IMO all this talk about structure is another smoke screen to distract how bad the room is.

OH WELL IT IS ONLY ONE GAME

I'm not aware of any elephants in the room. Garland? He's no elephant. But really, I thought the one thing we seem to have is more unity -- and a great captain. What am I missing?

Excited for the game, but my expectations of the Canucks winning is somewhat low. A win would be a great way to start the year, though.

IMO, Quinn Hughes is Vancouver's best player and now he's the captain.  I see the team rallying around him and the Canucks winning a lot of hard fought games this season.  Hughes also scored 3 goals in preseason, so he'll be shooting more this year, taking it upon himself to get that big goal. Quinn wants to win.

Thanks.

Im a little nervous with all the news about injuries and flu going into game 1.

Its like we are ready to make excuses and turn the page to when we have a healthy team which might be when we are out of playoff contention...

Gotta admit, big fan but pretty jaded after the past few years...

Mik and Soucy out, Bleuger at 80%, team flu....

Its like built in excuses before going against a juggernaut team and even worse, a division rival who are one of the contenders for the cup.

I really hope the boys show up tonight and surprise me. I'm watching the game with 2 huge oiler fans.
