Popular Post Slegr
I’ll settle for a one-goal win over these disrespecting turds. Even if we lose, I hope we keep that passion, intensity and focus we had in Game 1. 4

Popular Post Trebreh
I think this will be a lot closer game since the Greasers are mad. 8-2 Canucks. 1 12 2 1
Wing
It's going to be a tough one on the road. Sounds like Ekholm will be playing so that's another problem for us. It seemed like without Ekholm Oils has no idea how to defend. If the team can show the consistent strong defensively play displayed from last game and put in another 60 min effort, I'd be happy even if we don't get a W.
Tusk
On the NHL.com site they are still showing players to watch but not including Wednesday numbers. for Goals they dont even mention Boeser. Friggin typical I hope he keeps adding so eventually they have to give him his due recognition.
AlexanderM
I'm thinking the Oilers will come out guns blazing, get a lead, and we'll have to comeback, but it might just work out.
Popular Post Huggy Bear
Enjoyed Tocchet’s interview today. Of course the Oilers will ‘come out flying,’ but so can the Canucks. Listening to McDavid stammer when asked about coming out flat in game one, he had no explanation. He wanted to talk about us putting out our top PP unit, and pulling Demko, and how they didn’t like that. The reason I think he was stumped? Because the Oilers didn’t come out flat…they tried hard, and were outworked, outplayed, and out-coached. He’s so used to the Canucks being easy to play against, this didn’t even occur to him. He started the game making a statement by hitting 188 lb. Hronek into the boards. Minutes later, Petey says “hold my ,” and knocks 210 lb. Ceci clear out of the zone. Later 6’6” Desharnais challenges Joshua, who promptly answers the bell. “Weren’t these guys easy to play against?” Once we had a safe lead (and even after they scored), we kept pressing, and many individuals (eg. PDG, Suter, Juulsen, Hronek) made selfless plays to block shots, win battles, clear the zone, etc. When they resorted to cheap shots, we didn’t retaliate…just answered on the PP. No wonder he had no answer. He was shut down by the same line that also lit them up on the score sheet. That hasn’t happened to him before, and it broke his brain a little. They may have the two highest-skilled players, but I suspect we have the better team. Also think we’re seeing the team respond well to Hughes as Captain. He earns his pay every night, continuously improves his game, and defers credit to his team. His first post-game interview was all class. I’d rather follow him than a generational talent who resorts to cheap penalties, and can’t acknowledge when he’s been outplayed. Cup or bust, McDavid? It’s just one game, and the Canucks need to show up and do it all again, but… I’ll predict we win the next one too, and by multiple goals again. Reg
From the drop of the puck you've got to be ready for these mofos. They're going to play like it's the playoffs. Count on it. If I was the coach du jour, what we need to do is to commit to and play a defensive game. Do NOT take penalties. Each player and each line has to be on their game. This is a good test so early in the season. Good luck boys!

DelPiLeo
PKers must get ready, except tons of penalty against the Canucks this game. 1 1

If we can be defensive and still have the offense from last season we win. we win it all.//// lol. I mean but maybe

Jess
Pumped to see how the boys handle this one. Odds are heavily stacked against them since the Oilers will be big time motivated and are supposed to be the better team. I'd be over the moon if we could do it again. 1
