the oilers can't score @ 5v5... so the refs HAVE to give them extra power plays

They can't score without McDavid or Draistaitl on the ice either.  Every year they say they'll improve their depth, yet....

Is this on account of McDavid’s post game comments the other night or ???

Haha I think he’s being honest about DeSmith and Demko’s workload…

but starting DeSmith makes this a win-win start to the year.  If we lose, it’s likely we go 2-1 to start the year and can use the old “backup” excuse.  If we win… well.  Let’s wait and see what happens everyone says!

Team is not skating as well as last game. They are letting the Oilers beat them to battles.

Get back to the identity of making them fight for every spot of the ice.

Saw Laughferty loose what looked like an easy win the the puck and boards in the 1st. Couldn't agree more

I'm still feeling like we got them. maybe its OT 4-4 but I think we're better tonight.

they're hanging in there, but looking a little over matched tonight.  This is the kind of game they need Demko in to steal it.....not that DeSmith isn't playing well

What game are you

watching? Shots are like 11-3 this period for the oil. Lol

They've also had pp's this period and we have not.

We need to clear the front of our crease. Don't let them cause chaos!

Untrue. He just has to be in the crease. He was too close to risk it....

You can't prove there's intent if you don't put your hand on it.

(v) On a player other than the goalkeeper who deliberately falls on or
gathers the puck into his body;
NOTE: Any player who drops to his knees to block a shot should
not be penalized if the puck is shot under him or becomes lodged
in his clothing or equipment but any use of the hands to make the
puck unplayable should be penalized promptly.
