Rourke coming back to the Lions?

Not sure if we still have his CFL rights, or how that works, but I was wondering the same thing.

It would be a bit of a slap in the face for VA, but you want to put the best team out there.

Adams is 31

Rourke is 26.

Maybe bring Rourke back, and trade Adams?

could boost a weak spot on the team, or go with draft picks, for future strength.

I have to admit, with Vernon, I'm always waiting for his turnover tendencies to pop up.

If Rourke was brought back, you'd pretty much have to trade VA. Hamilton, maybe....BLM looks pretty much done.....

Elks were brutal, losing 44-28 to Hamilton.

And that score is only because Hamilton put in the back up players for the last quarter and a bit.

TSN trying to hype up the play of Tre Ford, who did get the last 20 points the Elks scored.

garbage time, against almost zero pass rush.

Elks are now 0-7--- and the points differential is getting worse. It was 34-8 after 3 quarters of football.

Rourke went unclaimed after being on waivers…I’m hoping for a return to CFL

He’ll likely wait as long as he can for injuries.

Not sure a return to the CFL anytime soon is likely.

Looks like he’s going to have a workout with ATL

Canadian quarterback Nathan Rourke went unclaimed on NFL waivers after he was released by the New York Giants on Sunday, according to TSN Football Insider Dave Naylor.

However, Naylor adds that Rourke, who is now a free agent, will workout with the Atlanta Falcons on Wednesday.

What a stinker of a game.

Gotta get their act together...that's two in a row and things'll slip away quickly like this.

Sometimes VA goes for too much and wants to be the hero. Settle in and get some first downs rather than going for broke in one play.

Love him, but he can run very hot and cold. He and McInnes had some great chemistry and Hatcher coming back is an adjustment. But if you're the best, you adjust.

One or two runs in the first quarter is ridiculous. You can’t just out and throw long balls, they need to be set up with the run and screens to keep the rush honest.

Exact same problem as last year.  At some point, you gotta adjust or look for a coaching replacement.  We'll get killed in November with no running game.

They went and got Stanback in the off season, to be the running game and:

8gp 98 carries 431 yards avg 4.4,   17 longest 1 td.

averaging 12 carries per gam or 3 per quarter.

Now have to play the back up quarterback.

The  guy that got almost no play time in previous games, despite a few large leads.

iirc Campbell was saying a few weeks back that NFL keeps playing the starter, to defend his usage, but ..well here we are.

Adding into the lack of running game-do the Lions even have set plays that call for the quarterback to run the ball-other than those short yardage plays?

Adams has had many good runs, but iirc they are all because of defensive pressure, and receivers being covered.

League wide, when is the last time you saw a fake punt?- Heck is it even allowed, anymore?

Lions need Buck Pierce as their offensive coach. Even when Winnipeg was losing he was calling a solid game. Adams has been off for a couple of games now.
