Colonel D
I'm okay with that, as long as they don't stop it there. 1

RupertKBD
I have a feeling that KK won't be able to replicate last season's numbers, but he's still going to be an elite CF and is a great guy in the room. Doesn't hurt that he's a lefty either....
Wilbur
Still room for Bellinger, just would rotate the DH around. Jays still need 2 impact bats. Not sure if Bellinger and Chapman would be enough...

Trade Davis and Biggio for picks and we're looking alright. Espinal can platoon.
Miss Korea
Looks like we're getting Isiah Kiner-Falefa. Limited funds and we spend it on... another infielder who is okay at defense and BAD at offense.
Colonel D
So this is goodbye to Chapman, I assume. I hate this.

Not necessarily, but I know that this is definitely goodbye to Whit Merrifield. it’s a good pick up defensively, nice guy. But way too much for a guy’s offensive numbers that aren’t MLB worthy.

I think they'd love to have Chapman back, but he may want to head back to the US? dunno.

But I was also reading this morning that everyone thought their market would be inflated due to Ohtani, (like Bellinger around 40m/year, chapman at 25-30m/year) but the market just isn’t there because the teams that could spend that much higher, have spent that that much already. Yanks got their 40-50m guy in Soto, Red Sox aren’t ready to compete. Dodgers signed their 2+ traded for Margot+Glasnow.

I guess it will depend on what other trades are in the works as well.

Yes I think we still need a 3B, 4th OF/DH/1B that has power, a swingman pitcher and an arm like Hicks.

Wilbur
I'll hold my full judgement until we see all the moves, but the Jays primary need is offense, and they have done nothing to improve that
Pears
Glad we brought Kiermaier back but so far a completely underwhelming offseason after whiffing on Ohtani and Soto.

It's been confirmed that their offer for Ohtani was right there with the Dodgers, so it isn't like they cheaped out on him.

flickyoursedin
Does this guy bring much more defensively than Espinal or Biggio? Feel like I’d rather they saved the 7.5 mill a year and put that towards getting a bigger fish for a clear upgrade.
