Great to get a series win over the Guardians, but Yimi Garcia leaving with some sort of injury is worrisome....

Hopefully it's nothing too serious, but it was obvious that wasn't the YG that we had been watching all season...

Immature team, nowhere near competitive.

This is where a guy like Votto can help. Since we're not going to get management qualified for their jobs anytime soon, it's up to him to provide leadership.

Bo goes on the 15 day DL so Martinez gets the call.  This one will be interesting.  Martinez is probably the prospect with the highest ceiling between him, Horwitz, and Barger.

Funny how it goes from - working it out, doing some at bats and base work to,     15 day dl.

Wonder if they were trying to keep ticket sales up?

Blue Jays anger some fans with move to renew season tickets at an earlier date

https://www.thestar.com/sports/blue-jays/blue-jays-anger-some-fans-with-move-to-renew-season-tickets-at-an-earlier-date/article_5c592b10-2a7b-11ef-9aa7-6fae24ac563b.amp.html

Longtime Blue Jays supporter Jeff Kowal was a bit surprised when he received a notice this week to renew his season tickets for 2025, with the first instalment due July 22.

A subscriber since 2006, Kowal said payments for the following season usually start in August or September.

“It seems like a very unfriendly change in past practice at a time of great uncertainty for fans,” he said.

The renewal date falls before the MLB trade deadline on July 30, and some baseball insiders have suggested the team could be sellers if the Jays fall out of the race for a wild-card berth.

To Kowal, it’s unfair to ask fans to commit before being sure what the team will look like.

The Jays were a shaky 33-35  heading into Friday's series opener against the Cleveland Guardians at the Rogers Centre. With the trade deadline still 45 days away, Kowal said it’s as if the team wants to see what the subscription numbers look like before making tough decisions. The Jays were 3.5 games out of the final wild-card berth heading into Friday.

“There is no doubt in my mind that the number of subscribers that commit to next year will dictate whether the team is a buyer or seller at the trade deadline,” he said. “I’m likely to keep my current seats as I’m a baseball fanatic (but) it’s really unfortunate that management prioritized spending money on the stadium but are ignoring the team.”
