I remember back when Bautista was still playing.....one of the Sportsnet crew was doing interviews with some of the players during the pre-game warm up....As he's talking to someone (I forget who) he get plunked in the leg by a ball thrown from the right field area..... I posted the story back then on CDC and one of the members said something to the effect of, "Bautista is a prick....but he's our prick!"

Blair and Barker, have said Bo had no interest in staying with the team- and some others iirc. Plus those interviews from L.A. where Bo went on about what a great place to play etc.

(although I hope I'm wrong) Everything we heard, from various sources during the latter half of the season suggested that Bo intended to move on once his contract was done. Even when he was playing, his body language has been that of someone who'd rather be somewhere else.....and I've noticed that ever since his last contract negotiation.... Now he wants to stay? Like Olney, I think he just wants the market to believe he might stay in T.O. Otherwise, he'll get low-balled....

He might be convinced to stay by a new management group, but why would he want to stay in an organization that clearly doesn't care enough about winning to hire people who are qualified to build a team?

Gurn
Through 6 innings- no hits for Mets. Weird 'hit by pitch' call- as the Met deliberately moved his arm into the path of the pitch- but got given first base.

Gurn
He is on a damn good run of pitching. Dan and Buck saying 4 out of last 6 starts have been 1 hit allowed- with 2 of those going into the 9th inning. Guy has 11 career starts- and 2 no hitters into the 9th. 1
