Sure they used the $$$ pretty well but now the penalty is way longer. Should've just got rid of Myers for some flexability, OEL-Hronek could've been a good 2nd pairing. I mean, yes, he's not good enough for what he's paid and what he's being asked to do (this has always been the case, even well before he signed his deal here), but there's still so many holes in this team. It seems very unreasonable, and quite frankly heartless, to pin it all on him. Management, and especially ownership, should be the guys taking the heat. The Canucks organization are a bowl of rotting fruit, and it doesn't matter how many fresh apples, bananas, and oranges you put in here, they will all eventually start rotting with the decaying contents. Canucks have some work to do regarding their defense and their getting scoring from the bottom six, sure. But a loss doesn't necessarily mean a team sucked. Philly ran us over, then ran over Edmonton. That happens when teams play good hockey, they were better than us. Tampa's not far removed from back to back cups, they're missing Vasi but that cup winning core is still intact and you know they were going to come out hard after losing three in a row. Canucks were the victim of what was probably an inevitable bounce back, it was gonna happen to someone. Sometimes you've gotta credit the other team for winning, there are two teams out there. Folks wanna pump our own tires and we haven't earned that, we're probably a fringe playoff team at best imo. If they want to be considered a perennially good team they're gonna have to earn that.
