I think Meyers sees himself as a puck moving defenceman and this is where a lot of his problem lies.

 

I think he would do well to just stay back and use his size and reach calmly.

I'd admit I doubted Hughes at one point about whether he can be a true no. 1 defenseman because of his size. Dang he is so so so good.

His job isn't to get points: It's to get other guys the puck and he does that effectively and consistently. It's why he got the job. He's right where he needs to be.

yeah everyone blames Myers for that goal but he had a partner who was out of position. And it was actually Heronik and no one complains about him
