No. Tocchet likes  pairings for his forwards. In this case Petey and Boes need a wall guy to dish to them.  PDG has specialized role, asked to do a few very key tasks. Tocchet isn't looking at his point totals and neither should anyone else.  Want to know why he's there, look at how many puck battles he wins.  How many times he comes up with it and sets up the plays.   Might be 3 or 4 touches before it ends in the net but his first crucial plays getting it are the key to making those goals happen

 

Hockey is about more than points on the stats sheet. Especially for role players like him.
