Bear was 22nd in the league for fewest on ice shot attempt per 60 minutes, the team leading Defensive WAR at 4.7 (Hughes 2.9), and one of two team defenseman (Hughes the other) with a Corsi over 50%. He was even able to raise OEL’s game to respectability when paired together. He didn’t put up a tonne of points but his two way play 5 on 5 was excellent, especially defensively.
