wow....well this game was not exactly the way i thought it would be...that it was gonna be close is no surprise but that Petey didnt get any points is a surprise. our 2nd line and our 4th line was our best imo. Hogs was really good and feels like the missing piece there. beau as the playmaker, lafferty as the grinding C and Hogs relentless and skilled is a good combination there. Petey had an average night tonight, a couple of fumbles and those 2 missed open net goals is horrible. Friedman messed it up and then Myers takes another penalty. lucky we got away with the win... Saros also was quite good tonight.

we should make a call to hirose....Friedman and Myers feels pretty bad. both feels unsecure...

Feel like petey will score next game after that haha

im pretty impressed hoglander has really made the most in limited opportunities and minutes.

loved our lines today and think when blueger is back it will only be better.

Tocchet, please put Cole with Hughes on the right side.  Slide Hronek down to the 2nd pairing with Soucy and call up Hirose and put him with Friedman on the 3rd pairing.  Put Myers in waivers.

I didn't think that Myers was the problem today.  It was one bad turnover by Soucy, and then another play where our forward were nowhere to be found and Preds had a 3 on 2 and made a really nice cross ice pass and the guy shot it over 90 miles per hour.

Sometimes you gotta credit the opposition, great shot by Kiefer Sherwood.

Canucks always lay an egg first game back after a road trip. Hopefully that changes with Tocchet.

Fingers crossed that this trend gets bucked, like so many others have been already so far this season.

I have faith that the PB & J line will bring it, every night!

remember how defensive Soiler fans get when we call them a 'one man team'? first game without Mcwhiner and gets rag dolled by Minny 😂

if the Lames lose their game, it will be a perfect night of hockey for me. 🥹

Hope Yotes comes back and beat LA.

Can't believe Petey missed those open nets.

Great night anyways, closer game than you'd like given how they played most the game but 2 pts is 2 pts. They played well tonight to close out this trip.

Awesome win, awesome to see the Oilers lose, fingers crossed for a Flames L.

Petey needs a goalie in net to score

lol @ the oilers who came into the season thinking as if they were the defending cup champs

love how their entitled attitude is getting shoved down their throats

And their entitled fan base. Looks so good on them.

Petey LOL...it's okay you're still awesome. So many great back checks tonight.

In other news, Oils had the lead into the third and gave up 5 goals in third period. Eeek.

Yep ... projected out 82 games:  Edmonton, goals for ... 102.   Goals against 442

Got two day break until next game.

No excuses.  Coach needs to get them ready.

For an entertainment perspective that was probably the most boring game of the year, other than that awful Philly game.

From a team perspective that was an excellent, near clinical way to close out a road trip. It would have been very easy for the team to get ahead of themselves and overlook this game. They didn't. They played a clean, professional game. They didn't collapse when forced to kill a couple penalties late in the game. How often could you say that last year?

This team is different this year. It's early, but I'm starting to buy in. There are definitely still some big deficiencies that have carried over from last year. But mentally this team is in a different space than I've ever seen in this era.

Good road win. It felt like the Canucks were in control most the game. Couple breakdowns that ended up in our net, but those plays can be cleaned up.

Feels good to actually have confidence in the pk again. You can tell the players believe now too. They seem calm and relaxed out there. No one is scrambling around not knowing what to do or where to be.
