AatuD2 Posted October 25, 2023 Share Posted October 25, 2023 We outplayed Nashville throughout 90% of the night and really deserved the win. Our players got way too cute a bunch of times and tried some impossible passes through Nashville players. JT Miller's line is playing insane right now. They're constantly shutting down the other team's best players and keeping the play in the offensive zone. I think that we should start hearing some whispers of JT being in contention for a Selke this year. Don't even care if he finishes 10th in voting, he needs to be recognized. Petey's line was decent but made a lot of questionable passes too that put us in trouble. Conor Garland and Hoglander were the standouts from the bottom 6. Garland created chances and was all over the puck in all three zones. Hoglander was awesome along the boards and was rightly rewarded with a goal. The one standout on defense for me was Ian Cole. Myers on the 3rd pair and Friedman on 2nd pairing seemed good enough to beat a bad team. Won't work against the better teams but we're stuck for now. Second game in a row Canucks let the other team get back in it in the third. I would like to see us keep up the pressure in the third.
