Trade for him.  23yo 6'3" 201lbs RH centre that was 52.1% on the dot last year.  20 goals and 35 points.  2C material right there.  Exactly what we need.

Gambling?  Blah... our coach knows how to handle that.  First hand experience lol

I could see him potentially being available, I can also see the Sens wanting to keep him

I think he could be had for the right price but a team would have to give up something good

Not criticizing Pinto, but don't centers usually have a Assist-to-Goal ratio higher than 1-1?

Maybe linemate quality at play here?

If Pinto plays a game for the Senators- I hope he hits the ice with 2 pieces of duct tape-covering the gambling site adds, on his helmet.

Still think it's a joke how he got raked over the coals when the NHL promotes gambling every chance it gets

So is he signed yet or what?  Like, wtf happened?  The initial report said his suspension would only apply AFTER he got signed, but now he's practicing and ready to go... as if he did get signed?

Believe I saw somewhere that he signed his qualifying offer prior to returning to ice with the team. Part of the problem before he was suspended was that Ottawa didn’t even have the cap to qualify him.

I watched his interview honestly not sure if he learned from his error.  Between this, formenton and batherson either Ottawa is unlucky or they are like the girlfriend that ignores all the red flags.

Got to draft character. Benning missed on both Jake and OJ because of low character. Both spoiled and entitled. For sure scouts must know if these guys have character issues.

The OJ comment feels like a huge miss. Dude had tons of injury issues that kept him from training and reaching his potential. I don't recall ever hearing about attitude issues.

Wouldn't players just all have other people do their betting for them?

I believe that's what he got in trouble for. Proxy betting. (He had other people make bets for him)

Wasn't he discovered to be the one that played fortnite all night and was never rested for practice the next day?

If you can provide any source for this I'm all ears. Every thing pointed towards that being Zboril and Juolevi was just chatter around the Canucks to explain why he was busting. Which didn't need any pie in the sky rumors, kids development was abolished by injuries.

Nope, in fact the reporter that did the story actually said OJ was not the guy he wrote the story about.

Gambling ads should be banned, having worked in a casino I saw first hand how gambling can take everything away from someone, in one case, even their life. Gambling is predatory but all the government sees is a cash cow.

Jokes aside, he's looking pretty good so far.  I'd check in on that asking price ASAP.

Completely agree. My bet is they'll milk it hard until this opinion becomes more widespread and vocalized. Then they'll start throwing shallow messaging around informing everyone to play responsibly, maybe start an NHL Against Addictive Gambling campaign to placate people and pretend that they've done something real.
