Are you insane? The only times the Rangers scored were on two 5 on 3's and a double minor that shouldn't have been called in the first place because follow throughs are not penalties. In the heat of the moment it's difficult given we dominated OT & lost the game on *that* play. But really the energy they showed was impressive. We would have won if. Or for some horrific officiating. The 4 min minor was what it was, but after Myers(who had another strong game) scored the shorty, the refs were doing all they could to get the rags back into it. OT was a thing of beauty, but sometimes the refs just decide to put the whistles away. But getting a loser point (in OT or Shootout) is what good teams do in games where one of: luck, reffing, travel, back to back legs, goes against them. Kuzy was unlucky not to score tonight. 6. DeSmith gave up 4 goals on 24 shots but it is hard to complain about any of the goals. It would have great if he could have come up with one more big save but I don't think we could reasonably expect much more. Shesterkin was excellent at the other end. Bottom line: It was a close game, but the Canucks were a bit unlucky to come away with only one point. With 10% of the season gone, things are looking pretty good so far. Great post, as usual.
