Again, I doubt anyone has ever claimed refs were unbiased.  That's, simply, a long standing tradition in the game, one that I enjoy seeing........as frustrating as it can be

But, the frustrating part is when they escape accountability. The acknowledgment that a mistake may have been made post-game would go far, with some fan-bases.

How do you feel at work, when a fellow employee, supervisor, or boss apologizes for making a mistake…instead of…silence?

From where comes the hope, faith or trust in them & their decisions, to protect you, treat you fairly or conduct themselves professionally by the rules & procedures that govern our professional lives. We all should endeavour to make things better. Turning a blind eye, cannot carry-on indefinitely, without harm being done to one or both parties.

Miller is in the weak position here, beaking-off at an official, but thanks to revelations by Burrows & what the Canucks organization & community was forced to witness & endure, over a period of time, in their past….Auger-gate set a standard I hope the NHLOA & league will not soon forget.

We currently boo Bettman for  decisions that entrenched himself & others as master-manipulators instead of facilitators. We have suffered egregious mistreatments by the NHL & NHLOA at pivotal times in this team’s history. For once, dammit, I’d like to hear an apology.

@Duncan Keith - this Canucks’ fan is still waitin’ on you to apologize to us & perhaps to your kids for those poor examples of goonery & head-hunting, as well. The respect of your union bros obviously meant little or nothin’ at those times. Getting continually  booed in VanCity & having to explain why to his kids, was perhaps the price that dude just elected to pay for his lack of humility. When Keith broke Jeff Carter’s nose with a stick swung in anger into that dude’s face,…he chose differently, and apologized. Did we have anything to do with that?

It’s all relative,…isn’t it?
