His cap hit is 1.4 million more than Huggy's, and he would be our #7 DMan, not as good as any of our top three lefties, who are all hard-working, team-first guys. He's terrible, as is their entire defensive structure and effort on the back check. They were a popular summertime cup choice among the media; the Canucks are a far better team with better skill, more heart, and better coached, and now that the bottom six is chipping in, scoring up and down the lineup. Tonight the team survived the early onslaught by a motivated Coilers team, then took advantage of some breaks, lousy structure, and crap goaltending to go ahead in the first. And those stats are very close to the #1 position. So clearly, playing like the elite goalie he is. Top scorer (via injury) and top scoring defenseman in the league, along with another in the top 10. Only team in the league with 4 players in the top 20 list for scoring. (Boeser just made it) Most goals for, tied for 2nd best goals against, for the best differential in the league by 6 goals. 4th best PP. About the only thing I can complain about is a 19th place PK. But to be fair, it's better than last year's 32nd by a country mile. Keep expecting him to slow down at some point but how can he with easy tap ins like that.
