Popular Post Canuckleheads Fan
This is exciting, I can see as many as six Abby players pushing hard, and even breaking camp with the big club next fall, Silovs, Raty, Pods, Baines, Karlsson, and Johansson, with Sasson getting a call in the case of injury. The Abby staff is doing a fantastic job developing these young guys. Edited April 3 by Canuckleheads Fan 2 2
kettlevalley
And we have Malone, Kudra, willander, celebrini, Alrikkson all still in their playoffs. EP26, Lekk, Mynio already in Abby. So will be prospects to fill in for the promoted prospects who will free up cap to sign higher end guys.

Attila Umbrus
Great game so far. Lek is looking good, defensively and offensively. D Petey looking good, I’m sitting right in front of him when he smashes a guy on the boards. He’s a big boy! Nielsen is great to watch live. He’s literally everywhere. Broke up a good 2-1 chance and ripped an awesome 1 Tee home for the 2nd goal. The one guy i’m liking who wasn’t on my radar is Glover he is a big dude and loves to throw his weight around. He’s looked better and better as the year has went along. I couldn’t take the pic quickly enough but here is D Petey smashing a guy…or the aftermath of him smashing said fool, he’s laying on the ice lol
Popular Post Attila Umbrus
So that was a great game! My first AHL game ever. It’s so much better live than on AHL TV…it’s so hard to really watch players online with those distant camera views. - Lek looked much more confident. Had a couple nice shots on net. Nothing offensively stood out to me. Still adjusting. But the big bonus is how he’s not afraid at all to go and get dirty and fight for the puck. I’m pleasantly surprised by that and it bodes well for him. - D Petey looked good. Very mobile skater for his size. I see a lot of Edler in his game. He is still obviously adjusting. He tries to go for big hits but he misses sometimes. Which led to a couple chances on not but nothing major. Lots of raw skill. Great skater, physical, good awareness with the puck, made some nice passes. Got an assist tonight. - Sasson is a speed demon. I don’t think has top 6 potential. But i’d love to see him get a chance at a call up, especially over Bains. He just plays the game the right way. - Karlsson, just so hard on the puck. He was a treat to watch. Great in the corners and has a wicked shot. Pretty much everything we already know about him. So no surprise there. Just a fun player to watch. - Woo…I love this kids swagger and snarl. He’s still getting PP time even with Wolanin back in the line up. And he hasn’t looked bad at it. I’m seeing more and more Bieksa in this kid every day. Lots to like. - McDonaugh, he’s pretty good. I liked his game but he isn’t full tilt every shift. He has a couple good ones. Then lets off and you don’t see him for a bit. - Nielsen, I love this kid. I swear if he was a bit bigger in size he would have been called up already. He’s like a mini Burrows out there. He plays the game in such a similar fashion. I just think this kid if given the chance will shine in the NHL and never look back. - Raty, another pro in waiting. His shot is wicked hard. Positionally he is everywhere he needs to be. I don’t see a foot speed issue myself. And for everyone worried about him not playing center. He was taking draws consistently on the PP and PK with no issues. Only during 5 v 5 he switched to wing. Thats about it off the top of my head. These were the guys I noticed the most out there in a positive way. We’re getting all our injured players back and now we’re really starting to look like a playoff team out there. 7 2

Popular Post CRAZY_4_NAZZY
Canucks committed to getting their prospects into the pro environment whether they are hear for next year or going back to juniors. In the past month they brought in Mueller, Mynio, Pettersson, Lekkerimaki, and now Alriksson. They are really creating a good development program. 5

CRAZY_4_NAZZY
This is a huge blow. Woo is a big personality for the team and a big contributor to adding stability on that backend. Easily the best dman this year for Abbotsford plaing all situations. Edited April 8 by CRAZY_4_NAZZY 2

Chronic.Canuck
That's a huge bummer, he was having a really strong second half and I thought he might be able to push for a spot next year. Hope he's able to make a full recovery.
CaptainCanuck12
Pettersson and Lekkerimaki are both healthy scratches tonight against Calgary! What could this mean?!!

Probably sitting and watching how dirty the Wranglers are for this game so they are prepared for tomorrows tilt against them. Back to back games. Definitely want to protect the young kids. They will see first hand how nasty that team is. It better prepares them for next game. Plus with a full roster they have lots of options lately. Could just want to get some more grit into the lineup for this game. The Wranglers have cooled off since last season and aren't the huge threat they used to be, but they are still dirty as fuck and are right above us in the playoff race...great games, hard hitting, fights, old school hockey...coached by Trent Cull too, who has a penchant for having his teams play that way. I'm ready for some lunch pail hockey tonight

Which would be nice. edit: I double checked the wild round rules, i’m wrong, only top team in pacific div gets a bye to next round. The rest play a 3 game series to move onto the next round. Attila Umbrus
Another big win against Calgary tonight 3-1 Glover, Nielsen, and Karlsson scored. It’s gonna be tight unfortunately to get home ice advantage. Right now we are lined up to play Colorado in the first round 3 game series. And if they get home ice the first 2 games are played there. Hopefully we can jump them in the standings and get home ice. Next weekend are the final 2 games of the season, back to back again against the Wranglers
