He does have 12 points in 13 games, so it's not that slow. He has only scored 3 goals so far, but that whole line other than Mikheyev hasn't clicked tonight.

I thought we started settling down at the end of the period. Seems like all this scoring got to their heads and now they think they gotta be cute all the time.

I'd be alright with Petey getting 5 minutes this period. He's just not competing like he normally does this game. Limit Petey and Myers in the third.

I think they’re hesitant to step up because our forwards are getting beat back down the ice. Without back checking forwards angling the Leafs to one side of the ice and providing insurance if our defence steps up and gets beat, they’re giving up our blue line. That back pressure has been a strength this year but I think they’re struggling with the speed of the Leafs.

This next period is likely the most telling to see if the canucks can calm their jitters re group and just let that period go... we need to just play our game, dont force it.
