He's managed to make some pretty bad decisions on two teams now. Which is hilarious to me as a Canucks fan, but still. No contenders in the east will do a fair deal with him. So he'd have to convince those guys to go west... dunno, seems like it would be hard to pull off. I could actually see them overpaying for Bear. I think he'll look to, missing the playoffs during the last year of Matthew's and Nylander's contracts would be disastrous for Toronto

I’d personally like to avoid making a trade for Tanev and see if he hits free agency and acquire him for free. The guy I would like to see us go after is Sean Walker 29 years old RHD 2.65mil cap hit pending UFA 5v5 370:22TOI (top 50) 53.82% CORSI (top 30) 17oiGA 14.08xGA (52nd) 64HDCA (top 30) - side note Tanev 56 41.76%oZS (top 40) - nearly 60% dzone distribution and a CORSI over 50%. Starts more shifts in the dzone and winds up with more shots in the other end when he is on the ice. Pretty impressive. 5v5 per 60 xGA/60 - 2.28 (top 30) SCA/60 - 26.57 (54th) HDCA/60 - 10.37 (top 50) dZS/60 - 8.59 (top 50) PK 40+mins TOI 50:45TOI (57th) 2oiGA (3rd) xGA 3.9 (3rd) SCA 29 (3rd) HDCA 14 (7th) xSCA/60 34.3 (2nd) GA/60 2.37 (4th) xGA/60 4.61 (3rd) HDCA/60 16.56 (11th) seems to me he would be one helluva pick up for our top 4. Can easily fit that cap hit on our roster. Not a core piece so PHI would be willing to move him. Only 29, still has a several good years remaining.

He basically had the opposite deployment from Ian Cole. The rest of the d-corps was pretty solid defensively which allowed them to use Schultz in that way. He wasn't completely garbage defensively, but he wasn't very good.

Early on he was a powerplay specialist but his game evolved. He’s a solid two way defender and it’s continued with the Kraken.

I was living in Pittsburgh for both cups and went to numerous games during the season and playoffs. Fans in Pittsburgh were very meh on him, they actually liked Ian Cole more. I haven't been watching Kraken games that closely so I don't know if he's gotten better defensively since, but in Pittsburgh he was still pretty one-dimensional. SilentSam
I’ve read a couple of “reports” that say a deal was in place for Zadorov once we cleared capspace .. (Beau) .. same opinions say the Flames are stalling. .. get this , “because they’re winning” lol. I doubt if Zadorov will stay n Calgary , he has been open about that, trading him just seems to appropriate for the flames situation. Amazing what some planning and proactivity can do. 1

WHL rocks
It seems cap space is everything right now in the NHL. Moving Beauvillier without retaining was a huge accomplishment for PA. We got Zad for cheap because CGY didn't want to retain any cap on him.
WHL rocks
If Zad can play like Soucy with a bit more truculence were getting a really nice player. Gives us so much flexibility on the back end when everyone healthy. 4/5 spot and stabilize the D pairings. Big get.
