People seem to think their offence excuses their laziness but you can't hold the rest of the team accountable when your best two players are cancers in the room who don't care about winning.

None of us are privy to any of that, but I agree with the rest of your sentence. The Oilers are lacking in two main components of a hockey team, goal tending and defensemen. When your goalie lets in 4 goals on whatever it was, you don't win many games. Giving up four or more per game doesn't allow you to win many hockey games.

Like magic, this move has fixed EVERYTHING! They are like a whole new team 🙂

I'm pretty sure this is still Ken Holland every morning, in front of the team offices in Edmonton...

You are absolutely right, they have made him an Island unto himself and he may very well go down in history as the most talented player to never win the cup at this point.

How they can get 4 x 1st OA's in 6 years and STILL not be able to put together a cohesive team is absolutely incredible.

Look at the trash they drafted after.  They don't have a single NHLer from any of those first round picks after McDiver.

Seattle has Yamamoto probably the best pick since McDavid.

Bouchard is at least good offensively. Defensive game needs a lot of work.

Jury still out on Broberg.

I can assure anyone McDavid and Draisaitl are not cancers in the room 😂

McDavid has one of the more low-key personalities in the league and folks wanna think he's a cancer?

Most of the hubbub surrounding him is fan and media driven, dude just wants to play hockey, it's what sparks him

Not his or Draisaitl's fault that Oilers management have seemingly been inept for years

Yeah, but Edmonton doesn't have them.  Bouchard belongs in the ECHL with the way he plays in his own zone.  Edmonton's drafting is approaching Gillis level incompetence.
