Odd. Posted November 12, 2023 Share Posted November 12, 2023 With the way Pettersson has been playing, I’d prefer he sat a couple of games so he can rest whatever injury is ailing him. He seems very off. Blueger coming in should be a massive help to our bottom 6. I would think they rotate sitting Beauvillier, Hoglander, and Joshua. Regardless, Hoglander and Joshua will likely rotate in and out until we clear a winger. I'll jump in on this. 1. Bluegar goes in at 4C. That allows Lafferty to move to the wing. Lafferty has done pretty well but he is not really a natural center, so this helps the team. 2. I would take out Hoggy. The thing is, Hoglander has to do everything right to stay in the line-up. He does not bring enough offensive skill to play top 6. he is small and, while he plays with an edge, does not contribute much to the physical game. And he is far from being a defensive specialist-no PK, no shutdown. Last night he had a couple of flybys and Tocc did not play him much. Beau stays in because he is a better player than Hoggy--not a lot better, but a bit more reliable and more consistent. 3. I don't see Juulsen coming in. He just wasn't good enough in pre-season and in the 3 regular season games he played. But maybe he gets another chance sooner or later. 4. I think playing Studs is a good idea -- just to get some energy in the line-up for a road back-to-back and 3rd game in 4 nights. Maybe in place of Joshua. Joshua brings and important element of size and toughness but he has to play with a high energy level to be worth having in the lineup. Much better than @D.B Cooper's "stinks"; that was pretty disrespectful, imo. Noah Juulsen has worked his butt off to get to where he is. He's a solid dude, captain of previous team(s?), heavy shot, big hits, backs them up, and holds down the 4RD position for now. To be in the NHL, that in itself, is quite an accomplishment, and Noah deserves to be where he's at.
