Yeah i agree. we really are inconsistent at pushing play to start the game. Against toronto we definetly pelted the goalie early to no avail. But almost all the other recent games we seem to ramp up over the first and settle into the game. We need to be in the groove come puck drop, full of intensity.

Good on the Islanders. They are playing intense, purposeful hockey inspired hockey. 

 

They have to, losing  5 in a row makes you desperate, Canucks don't have to be as aggressive because they are so far ahead in the standings they need to manage their player time and energy cant go all our like Islanders need to thus the result.
