Popular Post D.B Cooper
I know I know I know. Im sure there is a similar thread somewhere. But It just can’t be overstated how lucky we are to have witnessed the Sedin’s, and still get them to be important parts of the organization and the city. They are amazing people. Do you folks remember sitting there watching the game and just shaking your head in amazement at what they just pulled off? I randomly saw a clip an hour ago with the twins, then ended up down a highlight reel rabbit hole. They still just amaze me. Chicken.
Many many hours watching Sedinery unfold live. It sure was a treat and they are A grade character people to boot, continuing to leave an amazing footprint on this organization. Thanks Burke.
Miss Korea
Were they really that good, though? Oh yes.

Is this the year that Alex Steen was the best player in the league according to WAR? For a couple years he dominated this system and was hailed by WAR, as the best hockey player in the world. So not so sure we should be overly concerned about WAR cards, aside from that they give some indication on how well a player matches up against their peer group. Alex Steen! Over the Sedins, Crosby, Ovi et all. Edited November 15, 2023 by IBatch

Coconuts
Two of my favourites, I miss those Canucks teams led by prime-aged Sedin's. I look back on those late 2000's-early 2010's teams the way older folks look back on those early to mid 90's teams.

They look fantastic. Here are some others from 2011:
nux_win
Not only great hockey players but also great people. They deserve all the accolades we can give them. GCG!
DSVII
Their legacy lives on in the team. Whenever we see some of the creative breakouts, Bank passes and Powerplay structures. May they lift the cup with us one day

BlueJays
How about their final game at home. The most Sedinery thing of all time. Danny scored his 22nd of the year at the 33 second mark of the second period with an assist from Hank. I am pretty sure Hank started that game with a shot off the post. They buzzed the whole game and then in OT they pulled some of the most Sedin magic of all time, Hank, to Daniel at 2:33 to win it in OT. I feel so lucky I got to embrace that whole era.
iceman1964
Omg.. ummm we've been through this before BUT their is still a ton of stupid people, sadly you can't fix stupid, even when there is the explanation of what this team was like in 2011/2012 and more importantly before that, our history complete, has been sell the farm for a seasonal depthless roster year after year after year, nothing has changed, except for now that JR and Al have a clean slate with that 2011/2012 completely gone including Luongo's recap off the books recently. There's there's other things to it as well that the stupid do NOT want to hear but Benning didn't do a half bad job under the circumstances, having us close enough when better upgrades surrounding the core came available we'd do a whole lot better and we are obviously and we're experienced depth away from being legit. I hope JR doesn't cave and sell out the farm again as it just started to produce, the stupid side demand it yet again but for once, just once, we do develop our own depth and save us from $$$ free agent signings, and keep adding D picks for another draft and then go back to drafting forwards too unless some can be had in the later rounds. We might, just might have a chance to go all the way... But it all hangs on depth, because without it, the same ole' will happen all over again and no cup, however in Vancouver, the envelope is pushed by the blind (vancouver media) leading the stupid, if JR somehow holds down the fort and says we're building depth, like it or not, then we have a chance.
