I actually got to say... its been a long time since i have seen two players Like Hughes and miller who have been so in tune with each other... really fun watching those 2 make plays together, they have come a long wat from those High danger, low reward behind the back passes on the blue line...

Ah, very true.   I suppose we could say the team must first be predictable to eachother... in order to be unpredictable to opponents. 😉

 

The powerplay especially. Finally some movement and new looks.  But 100% agree with you!

Totally agree. We were good enough to beat an average team. Tomorrow against Calgary will be another tell tale game.

Was that after the hit that got penalized?  I think that was in the 2nd period?  

 

I really noticed him in the 1st period where the puck got dumped into our zone and Friedman skated back, kinda slowly, and engaged in a battle with the Islanders' forward where Friedman was lackadaisical, chose to poke at the puck instead of taking the body, lost the battle, and then rode the bench for most of the 1st period.

EP40 is still not playing his best game..

 

He's not hard on pucks and seems to be dealing with some sort of issues.

 

Wait until he starts firing on all cylinders. As if things can get any better but it will when Petty starts playing his A game...

Man, it's nice to have a top tier Dman on our club for a change.  Canucks have had serviceable and decent Dmen, but never that top tier, Norris trophy candidate type guy.  Only took half a century.

I read an article from DET media saying this a few days ago. 

It was about how they gave us the best D pair in the NHL. Lol 

 

Passed on Quinn Hughes in the draft and traded us Hronek.

You're right, I completely forgot about Beau.  

 

Those two trades have been big time wins.  People that bow at the feet of Yzerman should be reminded of this trade if Detroit ends up missing the playoffs by 2-4 points.
