Sounds as crazy as the Canucks being league leaders in the standings with Boeser tied for the league lead in goals and 3 of our guys all leading in points. Rypien-Punch
would you trade JT Miller for Brayden Schnieder, Filip Chytil, and a 1st? Edited November 18, 2023 by Rypien-Punch
tas
if they were to keep it up all year, canucks could feasibly sweep the awards. norris for 43, art ross for 40, selke for 9, hart and lindsay somehow divided between those three, vezina for demmer and outside shot at the rocket for boes. DrJockitch
I would say currently Quinn Hughes is the best player on this team and this season has been best player in league by not an insignificant margin. The league is looking to give Jack Hughes the MVP though. I would rank JT third on the team this season after Quinn and Demko as long as EP is playing injured. He has been remarkably good truly for his first full season at C.

Popular Post Canucklehead44
He is the most underrated, under appreciated Canuck of all time. 2nd in points per game as a Canuck. 99 point season. He is also first in the league for faceoffs won. Lead the league in short handled goals last year JT hit his worse stretch as a Canuck at the same time Bo hit his best and the fan base seemed to have forgotten the prior season completely. Doesn’t get near the credit of Horvat, Kesler, Linden yet none of those guys have had a point per game season. JT will likely be 3/4 after this season for being over a point per game 1 1 2
Diamonds
Miller will always be very polarizing and I still stand by what I've said about him previously. When he and the team are on, he's the engine that makes the train go. But, when struggling he derails the train. Right now he's playing the best hockey of his career and it's awesome to watch. Hopefully the team stays on track and he keeps being the engine.

It really looks like he is striving in the role of playing with a bit of an edge, with Petey the finesse player and Quinn Hughes is just unreal... But the fact Tocchet has gotten a hold of him seems to have changed him... he looks far more invested than ever before. Like a real leader... Would love a few more Millers or Miller lights.... sashimi
He's not even the best player on his own team. That would be Hughes. Miller's been great though for sure. Top 10 forward in the league right now absolutely. 1

Miller's been great though for sure. Top 10 forward in the league right now absolutely. Millers been the best overall player on this team, since he arrived. Aside from a crap start last year, which inflamed the CDC with Horvat vs Miller threads, he's been the man since his first few shifts with us. Funny how EP and QHs, always got passes, because of their pure talent, and youth - they've both had longer stretches of poor play, Horvat too, and of course Brock which has been well documented (and with context, at least understandable). EP was getting kicked around and falling over himself Greens final season. Horvat was on pace for his worst season since a sophomore. QHs not quite as bad, but had his moments too. Miller wasn't the best player every year (just two of four) but was the most consistent regardless of what coach or circumstance. Brock or Miller covid year. Miller for sure Bruce bump year, didn't matter what line he was given (3 different pairs), basically put the team on his back. Starting before Bruce. There's a reason why he got Selke votes 3 of his four seasons, and Hart votes despite not (but almost) a playoff team. This is could be his year. Of course he's not the best player in the league, but if things stopped right now, he's been the best player on the team overall since his arrival. QHs or EP, both good second place choices. 3 different coaches, have challenged him, and each one he's taken that challenge and responded. Not so easy being the man. Some folks, just take it on better than others, he's for sure one of them. Wish we had more Millers too. It's looking like QHs is doing that too. Like to see EP do it as well. With 3 of the top players in the league, two centers and one D... that's a great formula for success. Hronek IMO, has been almost as good as QHs this year too. Doesn't get the PP time, he's also tasked with bailing QHs out, which he's done, not that he's had too a lot either. OTT game, saw Hronek save him 3 times. Together QHs could become the best player in the planet. Finally as for his pay. He's not an RFA. No player on this team has done more for less than Miller. Including QHs, this is just his first season that he's outproducing his RFA payday. EP also did this last year (not his first bridge year though) and of course this year. 5.35 for a PPG plus player helps teams win cups. 8 ... well he's doing better then Tavares at 11 plus. So far. Not sure how you can justify EP getting paid 65% plus more than Miller, yet that's the sort of stuff and numbers getting floated. Naslund was a 3 year first line all-star, and got 13.6% of the cap. EPs managed to enter the discussion from a top 15, to top 10, to top 5 center. Only one RFA year in there, and according to all sources, the team essentially is giving him a blank cheque, willing to give whatever he wants. Will be very telling, what is more important to him, winning a cup, or signing his name next to a number that makes him highest player in the league. Hope, like Miller, he leaves money on the table. And makes a similar statement about loving the city, and doing whatever it takes to win a cup here. Mando27
JT is severely underrated by the League, one of the best power forwards and on a steal of a contract. Edited November 22, 2023 by Mando27 1 1
Rip The Mesh
JT Miller might very well be the best player in the league right now. There are only an elite few that rival what they do for their team to the degree JT does. 1 1

Absolutely... we are so freaking lucky he has turned up the gas. The contract he signed was looking at around 70 points a season or maybe slightly better... Remember the unhappiness around some quarters about his contract... Even if he turns into LE the last 3 years of his contract he has more than earned the right to do so... He is exactly what's needed to run this team. We are so lucky to have him signed on this contract. It's daylight robbery... He does everything, battles, scores, stands up for anyone, goes to the hard places, PKs and puts points on the board for fun. He is basically driving his line, and on most teams he'd be considered a 1st line C... We are golden with his contract... 1 2 1
