Depression is a hell of a mountain to climb, especially when you have no idea how and no energy to even try. I am hopeful that Hrudey gets the support, the patience, the love and whatever medication he might find useful. If he is clinically depressed it takes time to reset. The following summer I got a job as a labourer so I had money. And I became a member of the Royal Bank Kids club I believe it was called. By being a member I remember getting Canucks game tickets for ten bucks. I would take public transit to and from games. I was very independent at a very young age. Also times were different then [safer]. so our Grandkid is taking my wife and I out for all you can eat sushi. It's 4:45 here so plenty of time to eat and make it back home to watch the game. Thank you to all that have given me birthday wishes. This birthday and anniversary has been awesome so far. Even a loss tonight can't change that. The Krakheads are allowing 4 goals against average. Let's make that average a bit worse for them tonight. If any of their guys go after Quinn it should be one in, all in. Trail Smoke Eaters, Nelson Maple Leafs, Cranbrook Royals, Kimberley Dynamiters, Spokane Flyers and the Fernie team escapes name me. There were some pretty good hockey players in that league. The '62 - '63 Trail Smoke Eaters were World Champions. They were great guys and they toured thru the Kootenays and played exhibition games in smaller arenas so they had fans everywhere. I was told 5 players from that team were offered NHL contracts but turned them down.
