  1. 1. Will the Canucks Land a fLames Player?

    • Yes, Chris Tanev but only if the Canucks give up a 4th round pick or less - he's a rental after all.
      18
    • Yes, the other Giraffe on D (Russian one this time), but only if he agrees to a trade / sign deal that isn't longer than 4 years
      12
    • Never!!!!! Flames won't trade within Western Conference unless it is Tanev for Pettersson or something like that.
      28
    • #3 aside (Petey), yes, but only if it is more than the Canucks (or any other team) would be willing to pay ... DON'T DO IT Allvin!

  2. 2. Where will the Canucks Big 4 Finish! Multiple Choice Allowed here.

    • Boeser will win the Rocket Richard ... pfffftttt pffffttttt, it is BC after all
      3
    • Boeser will hit the top 3 in goals scored but sadly not the RR trophy
      16
    • Petey will win the Hart Trophy and/or lead the league in points ... once he gets back to 100% health, watch the F out
      19
    • Huggy will grab the Norris but sadly will not match Bobby Orr and become only the second D-man to lead the league in scoring
      40
    • Miller will pull an Oven-Chicken and score 50+ goals while possibly leading the league in hits by a top 6 player
      17
    • Chaos Giraffe will win the Lady Bing, just not on the Canucks
      3

These refs need to be fired on the spot.  Yet again clear and blatant misconduct from these dirtbags.

It is a slew foot,….maybe an unintentional one.

If the player returns, I don’t  expect there to be any more supplemental consequences,…but then there is a lot of So-Cal representation upon the DPS & anti-Canucks bias there has been historically strong.

I hope Hogs gets fair-treatment & won’t miss a game, other than the rest of this one.

I don't think EP needs a guy with hockey smarts. There's already 3 of them on the same line. EP needs a guy who can dig pucks put and feed him passes in tight. Like PDG does for Miller. Kuz is not good on the boards.

I would love a nasty player like a Todd Bertuzzi on that line. Problem is there aren’t players like that available in the league. In fact those players aren’t around as much anymore.

I get that you have to blanket penalize/deter the slewfoot but intent isn't so cut and dry.

Yup. Not even a skew foot really. Bettman (or some league official) on the phone to the refs telling them to screw the Canucks. Cheating bastards, that’s what they are. Do like Drago in Spartacus.

It was not intentional.

He looked like he tried to take him down. Totally didn't try to injure anyone though. It was a weird play where he was also checking another player and that guy backed into him. Like you said though not intending to hurt him in any way.

If the player returns, really expect that there will be no supplemental consequences.

But it wasn’t a skew foot. Anyone who has played knows that. Guys fight like that for position all the game long. Lace ‘em up there

Considering where he is in point standings I’d argue he wants to play with guys who see the game the same way creatively as he does and that’s what brings the best out of him. I’ve always wanted see a power forward alongside but I’m not sure he needs someone to create that space but he’s quite capable of doing that himself with his smarts and with the understanding and IQ of similar players like Kuz and the speed of Mik. If anything, he must have fast linemates who have the speed to keep up with how he sees the play unfold and can get to the marks where and when he needs them to.

I do think some get missed but yes I agree I wish it was more consistent. I think they is a play just went bad. The call was correct to me

Definitely was a play that went bad. After seeing the replay, I could've lived with a 5 but still think that's possibly a bit much. But the Intent to Injure Match? Absolutely not, don't think there was any intent or malice in Hogs actions, I just think they were both a bit off balance and the wrist happened.
